Summary

This is a two-part functional mallet, emblazoned with "sudo" - the Linux command for "super user do" which informs the machine to do the next command with all the might and authority of a super-user.

As with traditional mallets, the shaft and head are separate and are a wedging fit. This also allows the printing laminations to be arranged for maximum strength (it works fine with Diamond Age PLA). Inside the head are filler holes that allow you to weight the head with ironsand or lead shot etc.

You'll probably want to print the shaft first, which will fit on a Prusa Mk3 or Mk4 diagonally. Print with baseplate-only support, your favourite rugged fill, and at least 4 perimeters. Because someone is going to see how strong it is and strike it rightly!

The logo may be changed for other words if you wish in the OpenSCAD source.

Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of sudo. If I am worthy, buy me a coffee :) https://ko-fi.com/viksworkshop
