Strong and light cage-style protection/mount system for Mbot2 that attaches easily using the original bumpers. The cage offers protection above the bumpers, allows for attachments, and works as a handle. The hole size has been copied from original bumper holes and patterned for different mounts. I included the step files for both the cage and a sample attachment that is compatible with Lego. This attachment can be modified as needed or just used as a visual example.
PRINTED IN PETG WITH .4 NOZZLE
The cage printed fine at .2mm and 2 walls for 88grams but you can strengthen if so inclined
The attachment printed well at .16mm 3 walls for 1.25 grams. You can increase strength but detail is important for the lego-studs.
I built the cage out of necessity as my 3 y.o. and I learn how to use and control it.
