Replacement knob for a cooking pot lid. The model has a circular 60 mm outer diameter and is approximately 23.2 mm tall.
The central mounting point includes a recess for an M5 nut. Check the fit against your lid and mounting hardware before printing.
Required pause during printing
Pause the print before the layers that close over the M5 nut recess. While paused, insert an M5 nut into the recess and make sure it is fully seated below the next print layer. Resume printing to capture the nut inside the handle. Add the pause at the appropriate layer in your slicer; the exact layer depends on the print orientation and layer height.
Reinforcement around the nut
The layers around the M5 nut are set to 100% infill to reinforce the nut pocket and help it resist the twisting force applied when tightening the mounting screw. In the supplied 3MF project, this solid infill range is 6.9–13.3 mm above the build plate. If you change the model orientation or scale, adjust the range so it still covers the nut pocket.
