Everything you need to start a modular drawer or desk system on a Gridfinity-compatible 42 mm grid: baseplates in two sizes and two styles, and a set of stackable bins with a label shelf. Free, with the full parametric source.
Baseplates (measured on the STL files)
4 × 4: 168 × 168 mm, fits a 170 mm print bed.
2 × 2: 84 × 84 mm.
Lite: an open frame, 4.65 mm high, fast to print and light.
Magnet: a 3 mm floor with pockets for 6 × 2 mm magnets (4 per cell), 7.65 mm high.
Plates put together side by side to fill any drawer.
Bins
1 × 1, 2 × 1 and 2 × 2 footprints, in 3 and 6 height units (3 units: 25.4 mm tall with the lip, 6 units: 46.4 mm). The kit has five bins: 1×1×3, 2×1×3, 2×2×3, 1×1×6 and 2×1×6.
Every bin has the standard foot (0.8 + 1.8 + 2.15 mm) and a stacking lip, so bins of the same size stack on each other.
Every bin also comes with 6 × 2 mm magnet pockets in the feet (
-magnetsfiles) for the magnet baseplate.A flat shelf with a 45° underside runs along the inside of the front wall and takes a paper or printed label.
Walls 1.6 mm, floor 1.2 mm. Bin outer size is 42 n − 0.5 mm, plate size is exactly 42 n.
What is in the pack
4 baseplates (4×4 and 2×2, lite and magnet), 5 bins, each bin with and without magnet pockets.
The parametric
.scadsource: any size and height, label shelf on or off.
Why it prints well
No supports: the foot and the stacking lip use 45° chamfers only; the label shelf has a 45° underside; the baseplates print flat.
All 14 files are closed single solids.

PRINT SETTINGS: PLA or PETG, 0.20 mm layers, 0.4 mm nozzle, 15 % infill, no supports, no AMS needed, one colour per part. Bins: 4 wall lines (the wall is 1.6 mm thick); plates: 3 walls. Print as the files lie, feet or plate bottom on the bed. Solid volumes: 4×4 lite plate 21 cm³, 4×4 magnet plate 100 cm³, a 2×1×3 bin 30 cm³ (up to about 26 g, 124 g and 38 g if printed fully solid in PLA; infill makes them lighter). Glue 6 × 2 mm magnets in with the poles facing to attract.
Honest notes:
The images are 3D renders made from the same files you print. This model has not been test-printed yet.
Checked numerically on the exported STLs: a 1 × 1 bin sits in both baseplates without overlap and is held sideways (a 0.4 mm shift makes it touch the pocket); a 2 × 1 bin stacks on another 2 × 1 and is held by the lip; all files have the standard outer sizes.
We have not fitted these parts to baseplates or bins from other makers, only to the standard profile. Print one bin and one 2 × 2 plate first to check the fit on your printer.
Gridfinity is an open grid standard; this is an independent, compatible design.
