This is a snap in clip for the shown HVAC register vents to lock the register in the desired position and prevent it from falling to the closed position. This design has 13 notches that the damper can be set and held into, however from my experience most of the registers only will allow adjustment to about half of them.

Notes:
Black filament made the part stand out and is what I had to design with, however white should be very discrete and hardly noticeable.
For optimum strength and hold the part should print vertically but this requires supports. Printing horizontally appears to work as well but it does not grip the damper as well and broke when removing.Post-Printing
