The notches on the sides of the Prusament spools allows for easy clipping of filament tips. But since I got an MMU adapter I found that sometimes these notches can cause snags of the filament. Failing a print hours into a complex print job because of a filament snag is highly frustrating. After this happened to me twice, I realized this is something I had to resolve immediately. I created tiny plugs to fill the notches and eliminate the locations where filament was snagging. The print is easy and quick.
Each spool of Prusament filament has 4 notches - 2 of each orientation. The print files contain the 4 plugs necessary to plug all of the notches in one spool.
There are 2 different types of Prusament spools: one type has the external bay open, and the other has the external bay closed. I have included the print models for both types. See the pictures to select the correct plugs for your spools.
Printing instructions:
Nothing out of the ordinary - any layer height, material, or infil will work.
