14/05/2023 UPDATE - I’ve added an updated and improved version of this system here:  https://www.printables.com/model/465985-magnetic-reverse-bowden-system

23/12/2022 UPDATE Added a STEP file containing some slightly updated components for mods & remixes. Still untested, will update further when I do.

22/09/2022 UPDATE EDIT: New ‘cheap’ 10x3 magnets have arrived - and they're not quite 10x3mm. They range from around 9.5 to 9.3mm and fall straight out of the prints. This is true of separate two orders, so will be posting a revised version shortly that will accommodate them.

I figured there is no reason the swatch couldn’t serve a purpose! Keep all your most used filaments handy, accessible and swatched right on top of your printer.

These prints fit a Prusa MK3S+ without interfering with the print head at max height.

Heavily influenced by some other magnetic connectors on this site already. Think I have tagged them all, but apologies if I’ve missed some! :)

You will need to print one replacement FS cover and fit a 10x3x3 countersunk magnet, pretty easy to find.

Then, for each filament you want, print a tube connector and corresponding clip, and fit an additional 2x magnets. I aligned the countersink up on the extruder head, so also align the same way on the clips, and opposite on the tube connector.

There are tube connectors for both 4mm OD PTFE tube, and 3mm OD PTFE tube. I find 3mm OD cheaper and perfectly suitable for the reverse Bowden configuration. Plus I bought the wrong size by accident.

Will be adding more filament names/types shortly, but there is a blank clip if you want to add your own label.

Side Note; I ran out of magnets, which is why the last few clips don’t have any fitted! Will update images when more magnets arrive.
