Not much of a mod… its just the front handle with 3.2mm holes in it so a 3mm bolt can slide through. I've also tapered it a little so it can swing easily.
I only have M3x40 bolts available, so they only go halfway into the handle on my box. However, an M3x45 would fill the "handle hole" perfectly.
The clasps also seem quite happy with these bolts being used.
