I learned CAD just to make this remix. Very sturdy and easy to print, no support needed. I recommend 25% infill.
The plate makes the mechanism a bit more rigid than the original so I recommend printing this top piece by Localhorst86 if you're having issues: https://www.printables.com/model/289610-steam-deckmate-top-higher-tollerance-mechanism
Mount things to it using mounting tape or rubberbands. Plate is 3mm thick if you want to integrate magnets too (cut out infill in your slicer for that).
FreeCAD and STEP files included if you want to make changes and not have to deal with STL importing.
