I got inspired by this model to create my own design for turning empty reflow spools into useful containers.
The whole thing consists of 3 parts, more about the assembly can be found below.
Here are a few specifications:
- easy opening/closing of the box
- thin parts: very little material needed
- easy and fast printing with filament rests
- modern design: fits perfect in every room
How to assemble it:
- cut off the side parts of the reflow spool and remove glue and cardboard scraps
- press the bottom part tight in the core
- glue in the upper part with the thread (hot glue is perfect)
- fill your new container and screw the lid on
- Have fun and share your print with us!
I am currently working on a second version to make the lock a bit simpler and to increase the material usage. Please feel free to share your improvements and remixes!
happy printing and reusing! ;)
