This is a clamp system that can be attached to any small tabletop so it can be attached to a standard 20 lb. propane tank. I used a ¾" thick tree cross-section that I bought on Amazon.com (it's a serving tray), but really any thin flat surface would work. You could use a square cutting board or round tray.

You will need the following hardware:

  1. One ¼-20 x 1.5" long hex bolt
  2. Two ¼-20 hex nuts
  3. Four #10 Pan Head Wood Screws (appropriate length to not extend through the tabletop)

The Bracket is designed to hold one of the Hex Nuts inside it. When you slice the part, implement a color change at the layer that just covers the internal cavity. The printer will pause at that layer and you can insert the nut in the cavity. Complete the color change (using the same color…I know a pause would work here, but my Prusa will NOT execute a pause correctly!) and the printer will cover the cavity enclosing the nut.

Assembly:

  1. Put the knob on the hex bolt and thread one of the ¼-20 nuts up against the other side. I put a drop of supper glue on the nut threads and then tightened it down to hold it in place.
  2. Mount the Clamp 3.5" from the center of the tabletop with two of the wood screws.
  3. Use the Jig between the Clamp and the Bracket to set the spacing between the two. Mark the holes for the Bracket and attach with the other two wood screws.
  4. Thread the Hex Screw into the Bracket

The table is attached to the propane tank by lining the lip on Clamp into one of the oval holes in the top collar on the tank. Tighten down the Hex Bolt against the collar to clamp the table in place.
