Basic case for single DIN car stereo detachable faceplate / fascia. The interior of the case is 172L x 49W x 30H and should hopefully suit all detachable faceplates, including those that have large front knob.
The hinges use a short piece of filament as the hinge pin. Simply cut a short piece of filament to length, insert it through the hinge pieces and a drop of superglue on the ends to hold the filament in place. I eventually glued in a small piece of foam inside the lid to stop the faceplate rattling around once the case is closed.
Printing requires supports for the clip on the front of the case.
Update : Added new base file which adds 10mm (3/8") to the height for adding foam padding in the case.
