This is a remix of an original design available here: https://thangs.com/designer/hachem/3d-model/Seatbelt%20release%20aid-52901 Credit to the original author for coming up with the design.

I changed the handle to a “half-circle” design to allow those with the inability to grip the “t-handle” design.

Print Settings:

0.20mm layer height
0.40mm nozzle

I highly recommend using PETG for this print. For two reasons:

1. Higher melting point. If you intend to leave this print in your car for convenience, on a hot day, there is a good chance that a PLA print could warp or even melt.

2. Higher impact resistance. Since the entire purpose of this device is to “push” on the seatbelt release, using PETG with its higher impact resistance is likely to be more durable.

Measurements:

From the block to the handle: about 170mm/6.69in

Inside diameter of handle at its widest point: 80mm/3.15in
