It's a fully functional cylinder lock that offers 5⁴ (=625) different combinations.

You will need 4 springs from a ball pen (diameter = 4 mm, Length > 19 mm, tolerance is quite high and parametric) or let gravity do the its job for a first test.

To create a custom lock, open the .f3d-file in Fusion 360, go to "change Parameters" and set PIN1STUFE to PIN4STUFE an a value between 1 and 5. It will adjust the pins and the key accordingly.

Notes:

The single object stl-files are NOT necessarily oriented right. Please check the 3mf-plate for that.

Apart from that printing should be easy:

  • the design is rasterized for an 0.2mm first layer and 0.15 mm above
  • the seam position for the case and the cylinder should neither cross the pin slots nor the exact opposite side
  • make sure the bridging above the slots is perpendicular to the slots

    Post-Printing

  • Make sure the pins move freely in the slots

  • Assemble as shown in the picture
  • Make sure that the order of the pins corresponds your key
  • Change the order of the pins or set up only one pin at a slot not mathcing your key to check if it's really only that one mathcing key that will unlock
