Front upright/steering arm for Tamiya Vanquish.
It will also probably fit the Avant, Egress & Vajra.
I made this because the steering arm broke after a minor collision with a wall.
This should be stronger than the original.
The holes for the bearings may be a bit small, so you may need to file it (I used a Dremel) until the bearing fits tightly. Make sure you push the bearings all the way in (otherwise the circlip will not go on).
UPDATE (August 2017): I have updated it to v2. Now the bearing holes are a fraction bigger (increased diameter from 10.92mm to 11.0mm). You may still need to file the hole or heat up the piece to make the bearing fit.
UPDATE (April 2023): I have updated it to v3.
It is a bit stronger than before.
Also you need to have the part-cooling fan on between the layers from 4.6mm to 5.0mm for better bridging.
Then you can poke out the hole afterwards.
I created this in Google Sketchup 2020 and I have included the skp file (RHS only. Just flip it on the green or red axis to get LHS).
