This is a mini splitter / junction point for creating a headphone cable from two runs of Mogami W2893 cable. It's designed to fit fairly snugly, so you'll have to ensure that you don't strip your cable too far back in order to avoid bare wire showing.
Use hot glue or similar to secure the cable once satisfied with the fit. Secure the top with CA glue, or the same hot glue as the inner cable if you're quick enough.
