7/26/25 - update - added a version with stand-off feet so you can orient this facing upwards. Need intake area. Print with supports. everywhere on build plate. Organic remove nicely via Prusa Slicer. Uses these bumpers for feet (buy the 144 piece - best value).
This is a duct which holds (2) stacked 80mm PC fans. There is a 25mm spacer which installs using M3 hardware which is to help avoid turbulence vs the fans directly stacked next to each other. Two fans stacked help with pressure to make sure the air moves and does not necessarily increase the volume of air. I use this small fan for lots of small projects to dry paint or dry stuff out.
Hardware:
(2) 80mm fans
(4) 40mm M3 screws (4-40 SAE hardware would work too)
(4) M3 nuts
(8) M3 washers(optional)
Exhaust port is angled so you can orient the duct to direct the flow a bit.
My old setup was just these fans wrapped in duct tape so please ignore the adhesive residue on the fans.
The whole stack presses into the duct and stays in place due to 0.5mm friction bars.
Please experiment with your wall wart power before installing as the stack is pretty secure in the duct.
I'm using (2) 12V 80mm fans on a 7.5V 750mA wall wart and this works great for my use and is quiet.
3mf files contain organic supports with blockers to avoid printing un-necessary/wasteful supports.
