This is for doors to access utility spaces, like a shed or attic.  I made this for my two attic spaces and it has worked very well for the last  15 months.

Features:

  1. Easy to print with no supports
  2. Hides all hardware on the handles with snap-on covers
  3. Left or right-handed latch, take your pick
  4. Different shaft lengths provided to fit your door thickness
  5. STP file provide for Shaft model to customize shaft length to your needs

Other things you'll need:

  1. 6x #12x1" (M5x25) Flat Head Wood Screws

Instructions to install and/or customize:

  1. Determine which version (left- or right-handed) you need to print.

  2. Drill a hole 22-28mm in diameter on the door 46mm from the door jamb as shown.

  3. Measure door thickness and find the correct Shaft length.  DM me to add a shaft length you can't find here.

Important: If your door thickness is in between door thicknesses provided, use the shaft length for the thicker door - you'll see a slightly larger gap between the Handle and the Flange Cover but that's ok.

  4. Print the quantities of each part as shown.

  5. Assemble as shown.

For those of you that have access to CAD software, use the .STP file provided to customize the shaft length that you need.

Tip:

  1. Orient the screws of the flange base for each side of the door 90 degrees from each other so that they don't run into each other.
