I saw these unhandled chisels on a YouTube channel that I follow (StumpyNubs): https://taytools.com/collections/brands-narex-chisels/products/narex-6-piece-unhandled-bevel-edge-set

I picked up a set as a fun multi-media project. The recommendation is to make your own wood chisel handles - well, why not printed?

These would likely work for the Richter version of the Narex chisels as well.

The design is an octagonal handle at 30-mm diameter. It has a rounded-over tail-end and long (40-mm) taper from octagonal to circular at the business end. A corner of the octagon is aligned with the top of the chisel.

Parts shown are 0.35-mm layer height with 30% fill for the large or 50% fill for the small. Material is Sunlu black ASA. Print temperatures are Prusa-recommended for Prusament ASA. Brim and support are recommended. Ensure support overhang limit is set to 45° or less to prevent filling the tang hole with support. The tang hole is peaked internally so as to not require support.

These are definitely not to be used with a mallet at 30% fill. Maybe at 50% fill. I have not tested it. I can tell you that the handles fit comfortably in my hands. For scale, I usually wear large-sized gloves.

The 1-in chisel has a 50-mm long tang. Use the large (152-mm) handle.

The 3/8-in, ½-in and ¾-in chisels have 45-mm long tangs - use the medium (132-mm) handles.

The 1/8-in and ¼-in chisels have 40-mm tangs. Use the small (107-mm) handles.
