- this GitHub repo has a model of the nut but I was unsatisfied with it
- replacement for Ortlieb part number E205
- the original one broke for me after my pannier fell off my bike
- the original features 2 spots to put 4 mm hex key to prevent rotation while you fasten a thread forming screw into it
- I changed mine to use a 13 mm socket which is much better since you can center the nut & apply pressure at the same time, unlike the original
- the ID is sized to take the thread forming screw
- pictures show original part in context

Rev 7
- 2023-08-27: added rev 7, which uses M4 bolt instead of the original thread forming screw for which I cannot find COTS except through Ortlieb
Improvements over original
Ortlieb's original requires 4 mm hex key to immobilize the nut while it's being screwed in from the other side:

Mine uses a centrally located socket, which also can apply pressure to force engagement with the fastener which you cannot do with the original.
The downside is that the stack height is a few mm above the original & a bit more intrusive on cargo inside the pannier.
The original thread forming screw from Ortlieb seems to fall out forever more once it falls out once. I think the thread in the nut gets worn out. Here is a picture of the original Torx drive fastener before I lost it:

I lost it entirely on the road, & needed to replace it with this M4 nylock (so that it doesn't loosen under vibration)nut & bolt:

Here is the bolt:
