Sim Racing shifter I created to play EA Sports WRC
On top of the 3D printed parts I also designed a PCB that shows the selected gear and some buttons to increase/decrease the max gear and to reset the gear count.
The gear shaft is centered by magnets glued to both the shaft and the walls, at the end of the movement the micro switches activate the shift up and shift down. The shaft is supported by the walls with two bearings to make the movement smooth, I kept the routing in the base done by the original design but at the end it was not needed.
Everything was printed in PLA and I secured the magnets with glue.
I'm currently working on an instructables with everything explained from the 3D printing to the SW development, as soons as Im finished I'll link it here :)
