Was cleaning out my cupboards the other day and found a pack of candles that I have in case of a blackout. This led me to think of safer ways to hold it instead of risking burning my hands with wax.
For some reason this led to me thinking of antique candleholders you'd see in shows such as "Downtown Abbey" or classic Disney Animations - so I looked on Printables, com to see if I could find something of the sort, but found a shocking lack of candleholder models in this style. So, I set to work making my own.
Consisting of a simple dish and ring-handle. (The ring was originally closer to the dish, but after testing, tended to snap off and would risk burning my finger due to the proximity to the flame; so I altered it to be further from the dish.)
After all the work I put into this, it's only just dawned on me I've designed a candleholder out of a material that becomes malleable to heat but hey-ho, its still good practice…..right?
Model labelled "Mk.2" due to the aforementioned changes during testing as well as...issues with my original model that made it overly complex to print.
If you find yourself downloading, printing or even making adjustments to my model, please don't hesitate to post your make! I'd love to see what you come up with! :-)
