My MacBook Pro 16 sat for long periods unmoved as a desktop replacement. It took space and dusk like a champ. A few weeks ago, I decided to store it away under my desk, which decluttered my workspace significantly.
Most of the "under table-mounts" available on Amazon and such are also 3D-printed, so I decided to model my own personal version.
As the brackets hold the MacBook Pro at places where the venting slots are located, I provided venting holes. Even under heavy load, my MacBook gets barely warm. To have a snug grip on my Mac and to raise it a bit for even better ventilation, I put some felt gliders/pads on the brackets. Those pads also help to protect the Mac from scratches. An affiliate link to the pads I used is listed below.
Print three as configured in the 3mf file and shown in the screenshots. No support is necessary.
Having just two brackets should also be sufficient to hold a 16-inch MacBook Pro securely against gravity, but if you don't have something in the back to limit the depth, I won't risk pushing my Mac too far.
The brackets can be mounted under your desk using 4mm wide wooden screws. A beveled head should fit flat inside the chamfered pocket.
