This is a modification of the “bottom_cover_l_cut.stl” and “bottom_cover_r_cut.stl” models from the official version. Adds the ability to mount the official battery in a minimalist manner.

You should visit the official version to download the rest of the necessary parts, such as “top_cover_l_cut.stl”, “top_cover_main_full.stl”, “top_cover_r_cut.stl”, and “connect_pin.stl”.

There are two approaches I've taken and they have things to keep in mind.

Friction Mount (Slide the battery into place)

The battery is wrapped in a relatively fragile thin plastic film. Sliding it into place can damage or tear this film. You can see in my photo that I added some tape to help protect against this damage.

You also need supports to print this design.

Note: Since the battery has captive screws, it isn't possible to include screw holes because they'd get in the way of the dangling captive screws when you slide it into place. The photo shows an earlier version where I was still trying to get a screw-in approach to work, but I've ultimately modified away the screw parts for this upload.

Screw Mount (Screw the battery into place)

No need for supports, but there isn't much stopping the battery from being folded upward toward the mainboard. Need to be aware and careful.

I have not printed this myself, but the screw placements are the same as my other model which I have printed and know it works.

In any case, since the battery is mostly unprotected, I would only use either of these designs if the computer is going to be mounted out of reach.
