This is a print-in-place replacement wheel for an old series metal Canadian Magen David Adom donation box.
Required hardware
- One M3x20 socket head screw per wheel
Printing instructions
- Print the .stl file as-oriented (outside part of the wheel flat on the print bed).
- You can use supports to get a cleaner insertion point for the screw, but I didn't.
- The .stl file is optimized for a 0.2mm layer height.
Installation instructions
- Insert the screw through the wheel centre.
- Remove any old axle on the ambulance.
- Position the wheel so the overhang is above the rolled metal (that ensures proper alignment of the wheel).
- Gently screw the wheel in, ensuring the overhang stays above the rolled metal.
Safety warnings
- The wheel by itself is a choking hazard for young children. Please use adult supervision.
Notes
- I designed this model in OpenSCAD and it's fully parameterized. If you'd like a simple modification for another purpose (i.e., diameter, screw size, etc.), send me some measurements and I'll see what I can do.
