This is a rotatable tool holder for a set of 7 Wiha allen wrenches. The top and the bottom of the stand are held together by a ~1 cm long ¼-20 or M6 set screw (or grub screw or threaded rod). The top and bottom have a hole for easy tapping, although one could easily add a thread to the two components.
The tool holder rides on a 2-part bearing that is comprised of the bearing race and a bearing cover. The race is filled with standard, 6 mm Airsoft pellets / BBs, which are much cheaper than metal balls. I purchased 5000 pellets for ~ 10 USD.
After filling the race, the bearing cover snaps in place. The bearing is then pushed into the bottom of the tool holder. It is held in place by friction.
I printed the bearing race and bearing cover with the bearing side up and ironing enabled. This gives the smoothest rotation. The top and bottom were both printed stem side up. I used 15% infill and an 0.4 mm nozzle.
