Using this in a project and it needs a case, so here it is with a few variants including a screw mount, magnetic mount and a basic case.
If you plan to use this with ESPHome, the following is a working config example, note your pin will likely be different:
sensor:
- platform: dht
pin: GPIO7
temperature:
name: "Workshop Temperature"
humidity:
name: "Woroshop Humidity"
update_interval: 30sRequired For Assembly
5x M2x6 screws
3x M2 washers
5x M2 CNC Kitchen/Ruthex or similar sized inserts
Soldering iron
The magnetic case variant requires 2x 8x2mm disc magnets. The screw mount version has a 5mm hole in the case for a screw.
Assembly
Install 5x M2 inserts into the holes as pictured. | ![]() |
If you are using the magnetic base, put a small dab of blue in the holes and poke in the magnets now. | ![]() |
If you are using the screw mount version, screw it into its final destination now. Use a washer. | ![]() |
Insert the PCB and secure it with two M2x6 screws. Do not use washers here and be careful to not screw in the screws too tightly. | ![]() |
Attach the lid and secure it with three M2x6 screws and washers. Congratulations, you are done! | ![]() |
