I moved into a house with ceiling junction boxes for smoke detectors, but I had already invested in battery-powered Nest Protect V2s. I looked everywhere for a mount model that would fit my circular junction boxes, but no models allowed for the required screw distance of 60mm.
This model should fit junction boxes with a screw distance of 55mm to 65mm. You can use the original Nest screws, M4 ceiling box bolts or M3 wall box bolts with a washer.
Printing Advice:
Print with supports, e.g. with support enforcers for the screw holes.
Since this is a structural part, print with a decent amount of walls and infill.
Also, since the part might be used around electrical wiring (which may produce heat), it might be good to print with a heat-resistant material, e.g. PETG or ABS.
