I'm growing chili pepper plants. They need it warm, they take some time to germinate. Some seeds, I put in 10x10cm pots. To keep them wet, I put foil on the pots. The foil wasn't very well attached, and fell down all the time.
Then I thought: I have a 3D printer, just create a lid. So I made what you can see here.
Currently, I'm just putting these lids on top of my foil, just as is. The plan is to glue some hard foil in it to just have this lid as a cover plate without need to use more foil. It should be re-usable next year as well, without producing to much waste.
To-do:
- Make them stackable
- Other sizes
- Other shapes
I'm using v2 on nearly all pots. Just one v1, and only one v3.
v1 was the first iteration, nose to plate distance was 1mm.
v2 introduced a small bevel to make it easier to clip it on the pot. The distance was increased to 1.5mm. The thickness was increased from 0.5mm to 1mm.
v3 added two more noses, 0.5mm thicker.
