I've made a simple yet functional printer enclosure to protect it from dust, and drafts, and it also helps to stabilize the temperature inside - your big models will warp much less.
The “front door” is fixed with clips at the top, and binders with the side
The design contains 3 models:
- bottom part - optional - you can use it to screw it down to the base, save some rods
- top part - can be used for the entire enclosure. It also has a hole for a screw to fix it to the base
- clip - is designed to tightly hold 2 layers of relatively thick film
You will need:
- m6 threaded rod - 6 or 4 pieces of 1m (you can just screw to the base and omit using lowest layer of rods)
- Heat inserts - m3x3x5 (3mm long, outer diameter is 5)
- m3 bolts - 3 for each corner, I used m3*8 for ease of hand operation
- polyethylene film
Printed with PETG, no supports, 4 walls, 30% infill
