I live in Denver where it is very dry in the winter (<20% RH). I grew tired of discharging static through the printer and resetting it. This was particularly frustrating when it happened mid-print while changing filament colors. So I purchased a simple grounding wire from Amazon that plugs into a standard 3-prong outlet and has a banana plug on the other end. I secured the banana plug in the bracket and mounted it to the underside of the printing table with two 3M Command strips. I now touch the plug before touching the printer. Better a small shock than a failed print!
The hole is the bracket is a force fit around the banana plug. You will need to use a flat blade screwdriver to open the slot enough to get plug into the hole.
