A sturdy over-the-door coat hanger designed specifically to fit modern rebated (lipped/stepped) interior doors smoothly. Standard flat over-the-door hooks fail on these types of doors, but this profile wraps perfectly around the rebate profile.
The hook features a slim 3.2mm thickness profile along the upper frame. This provides heavy structural strength to hold multiple heavy coats while remaining thin enough to let the door close completely flush without binding or scraping against the frame.
Smart Design Feature:
Support-Free Screw Hole: The screw hole features a built-in 0.1mm sacrificial bridging layer. This allows the entire hook to be printed cleanly completely without supports. After printing, simply push a small screwdriver or a drill bit through the hole to clear out the thin layer before driving your screw in.
Print Settings:
Orientation: Print flat on its side as shown in the slicing rendering. This orientation gives the clip arms maximum inter-layer strength so they won't snap under heavy loads.
Material: PLA works fine, but PETG or tough PLA is recommended for prolonged mechanical tension.
Supports: None required!
Infill: 25% or higher.
