Achieve a clean and neat appearance by concealing the MK4 memory stick. I usually keep the USB stick plugged into my MK4, but I disliked the way it was attached to the MK4. Therefore, I opted to hide it completely by installing it beneath the print table. The USB stick is secured to the 3030 extrusions using a twist-lock mechanism. For this setup, I utilized a USB extension cable from Amazon (ASIN: B0CDM7G5WH). The cable holder includes an M3 self-tapping hole, which is optional. I found it to be a tight fit, so I chose not to use it.
A sliding cover conceals the USB stick, yet allows for easy mounting and unmounting by sliding the cover back to expose the memory stick. In pursuit of a uniform appearance, I modified the cable cover as well. The original cover was very close to the Y-axis linear bush housing, posing a risk of collision. By incorporating a groove, I ensured the machine could operate safely without interference. Like the original cover, you need to print the covers in a vase mode, and make sure there is no top & bottom solid layers.
