A cover especially designed to protect the ball of a retractable tow hitch in its folded position from water and dirt. It is unsuitable to use a standard cover for fixed tow hitches on retractable ones. When folded, a standard cover becomes a bowl that holds water, causing excessive rusting of the ball. This cover provides perfect protection for the ball, and when coated with grease, the protection will be complete, keeping it always ready for connecting a trailer or bike carrier.
I recommend printing this cover from FLEX/TPU material or PETG or ASA.
Fits vehicles from the SKODA, AUDI, and VOLKSWAGEN group and more. Just make sure there is at least 15mm of space around the ball when the tow hitch is in its folded position.
I have not found any officially available covers of this type.
For assembly, you will need:
4pcs M3 x 14 mm for clips
2pcs M3 x 10 mm for hinge
Before closing the hitch ball in the housing, I recommend coating the hitch ball with a layer of lubricant.
