L-Boxx Mini Insert System: Swappable Bins

If you rely on the L-BOXX Mini system but need more flexibility than the standard fixed dividers allow, this is the upgrade you’ve been looking for. These modular bins transform your box into a fully customizable storage powerhouse. Whether you need to swap out kit components for different jobs or just want to grab a single 1x1 bin to take up a ladder, these inserts provide the ultimate workflow. They replace the stock dividers entirely, giving you a removable, interchangeable system.

The Bin Design

These bins are designed to completely replace the original dividers. Their floor-to-lid height ensures that even the smallest parts remain securely inside their compartments and cannot escape.

Thanks to the universal design, a single model fits any position within the grid. There is no need to print separate "inner" or "outer" versions. As long as they are oriented correctly, you can use these bins anywhere in the box.

Available sizes

Note: 2x1 and 1x2 bins are not interchangeable. While they cover the same area, their orientation in the L-Boxx Mini differs: one must be placed lengthwise, the other crosswise.

Optional Features

The Standard Bins are basic containers with a bottom and four walls, featuring no extra modifications. If you are looking for specific features, please check the suffixes in the filenames:

• Grip (“-GRP”) [Discontinued]
  My original design features a grip for easily lifting the bin out of the box. This version was focused purely on improving handling. It is still available in its own folder, but it has been discontinued and will no longer receive updates or new versions.

• Label (“-LBL”)
  The Label version includes a small grip surface designed to fit a 12mm label. The maximum label length depends on the bin size:

  • 1x1 & 1x2 - 75 mm

  • 2x1 & 2x2 - ?? mm

  • 3x1; 3x2 - ?? mm

• Split (“-SPL x y ”)
  While standard versions consist of a single compartment, the Split versions feature internal dividers to create multiple sections within one bin.

  • x: Number of compartments in the X-direction (columns)

  • y: Number of compartments in the Y-direction (rows)

Example: V1_1x1_LB-Mini-Bin-SPL23 -> 2 columns, 3 row

• Divider (“-DVD n”)
  The Divider version follows the same concept as the Split version but is designed to use the original L-Boxx dividers to create multiple sections. This version is only available for specific sizes where the original dividers can be physically accommodated.

  • n: The maximum number of dividers the bin can hold.

  Completely reworked the Printables page. Added new features and sizes, updated pictures and descriptions, and introduced a new naming system for better organization.

• 06.07.2026 – V1.2 Rework

  Adjusted several tolerances, increased the wall thickness from 0.8 mm to 1.2 mm to make the bins more durable and compatible with 0.6 mm nozzles. All 1x1 versions have been completed, while the remaining sizes will follow. The GRP variants are discontinued and will not receive further updates.
