I was Inspired by FormFutura's ReFill 2.0 Flanges, I created a re-usable filament flanges designed for use with Bambu Labs refill filament rolls (1 kg).
Rather than a set of flanges/spools for every filament roll, this model allows you to switch between filament rolls using velcro straps.
The core of the flange is designed to friction fit the cardboard core of the Bambu Labs refill rolls.
Models:
- Bambu Refill Spool with Notch - contains a notch designed to seat within the cutout of the Bambu filament refill's cardboard core.
- Bambu Refill Spool - for use on the side without the cutout of the Bambu filament refill's cardboard core.
To use:
- I recommend using 3 velcro straps to secure the filament when switching rolls (8-inch or 9-inch straps seem to be the best lengths).
- In the photos, I used these 12-inch velcro straps which I had on hand, but they are much longer than necessary
- To secure the set of flanges to each other once installed on the filament roll:
- Each flange contain 3 cutouts you can secure velcro straps to.
- Or you can use this Desiccant spool tumbler like I did in the photos.
