This model allows you to mount two 6010 fans to your BTT Octopus (Pro) control board without blocking any connectors (except the stepper drivers). This provides PLENTY of cooling for everything on the board as all the critical components (main chip + stepper drivers) are directly cooled by the big fans. The fans clear both TMC2209 and TMC5160 stepper driver heatsinks - see picture - (and all others I'd assume) with a couple of millimeters to spare. The model also includes a zip-tie mount for fastening the cables from the fans.
The model prints without support and should ideally be printed in a decently heat-resistant material like ABS/ASA or PETG. The print settings used for the model are as follows:
- Material: ABS/ASA or PETG
- 4 walls
- 5 top/bottom layers
- 40% infill
- No support required
The two fans mount each with four M3x 6/8/10/12 FHSC from underneath, into heat inserts in the fan casing, as seen in the image below:
The fan mounting bracket can be mounted with four M3x 35/40 SHCS (depending on your mounting setup), as seen in the image below:
