I made this under desk mount for the M4 Mac mini to be:

  • Easy to print - all one piece, just print in place vertically, with the “notch” (reminiscent of the iPhone's FaceID notch) at the bottom.
  • Easy to mount- just two short cone head screws to attach the mount under a desk or table, then slide in the M4 Mac mini from the back.
  • Easy to plug things in- the “notch” at the front of the mount stops the computer from sliding out while plugging things into the back (ask me how I know).
  • Cool- the bracket is mostly open at the bottom (as open as I could make it while still supporting the computer) so that the computer's fans can function properly without any cooling issues.

There is an alternate model that comes with a “sidecar” for a TB4 SSD enclosure to sit next to your M4 Mac mini.  It's a generic size, so your SSD enclosure just can't be taller than your M4 Mac mini in this case.

Printing:

  • Rotate the model vertically, so that the “notch” is on the bottom.  You want the notch to print at the base, for stability during printing.
  • I printed with the most basic settings I could- it was generic PLA 1.75mm filament with default settings on normal mode on a FlashForge Adventurer 5M Pro with 0.6mm nozzle, so that's layer height 0.3mm, infill 15%, print speed 200mm/s and it turned out just fine.

Installation:

  • Only requires 2 short cone head screws, I just had some lying around but I chamfered the edge of the screw holes so that you can screw in the mount and have the screw heads flush with the plastic so that it doesn't scratch the top of your M4 Mac mini.
  • Screw the 2 short cone head screws into the plastic, and straight on through to the underside of your desk or table.  (Make sure cone head screws are flush into the mount before sliding in your M4 Mac mini, or any screw head sticking out may scratch the top of your M4 Mac mini.)
  • Face the “notch” toward the front of your desk, and slide in the M4 Mac mini from the back.

For personal use only- no commercial license is available at this time.  Enjoy!
