Problem
AFAIK, the SQlab innerbarends 1.0 410/402 innerbarends must be mounted with companion grips.

The Innerbarends® 410/402 are specifically designed to complement the SQlab grip models 710 and 702. The slightly flattened top surface of the grips creates an ergonomic and functional transition area to the Innerbarend.The Innerbarends® 410/402 are specifically designed to complement the SQlab grip models 710 and 702. V2 doesn't have this problem
Instead, they come with these shims, in blue, which permit mounting without the associated grip.
Solution
- the solution is as simple as it gets, to print a shim that functionally does the same job as the V2 shims
- plastic-metal friction is generally low, but these grips shouldn't take a lot of torque from your hands, given that most of your weight should be on the bar
- I haven't tested these as of 2025-09-27
- standard MTB flat bars are 22.2 mm OD
- for the OD of the shim, I measured the ID of the innerbarend, which is approximate at best because of the clamped nature of it
- however, it should be tolerant of inexact size
