Overview
A compact, one-piece sponge holder that also clamps your dishcloth to dry. It snaps over the sink’s center divider (or similar bar) and keeps both items ventilated and out of the way. Designed by hakkaisha for quick, support‑free printing and everyday kitchen use.
Design Intent
- Purpose: Easy‑to‑print sink organizer that holds a sponge while clamping a dishcloth securely for drying.
- Context: Wet kitchen environment; frequent splash exposure.
- Compatibility: Intended for a middle divider/rail up to a maximum of 36 mm.
- Priorities: Airflow and drainage, simple single‑part print, quick install/removal.
- Trade‑offs: Fixed opening sized for ~≤36 mm dividers; fit may require small scaling or a thin grippy pad on narrower dividers.
Features
- Combined sponge holder and dishcloth clamp in a single print.
- Hexagonal ventilation and drainage paths to speed drying and reduce mildew.
- Friction clip geometry snaps onto a sink divider or round rail (see images).
- No hardware required; one-piece design.
- Pre-oriented STL; prints without supports.
- Smooth, rounded edges where the cloth is clamped to reduce wear.
- Compact footprint to keep the sink area clear.
Printing
- Files are pre-oriented; print as provided. No supports.
- Typical FDM settings work well (e.g., 0.2–0.28 mm layers, multiple perimeters).
- Material: PETG recommended for warm/wet use; PLA works but avoid prolonged heat; ASA/ABS also suitable with enclosure.
- Infill: Common kitchen-use defaults (e.g., 15–25%) are sufficient.
Assembly
No assembly or hardware needed.
- Press the clip onto your sink divider/rail (≤36 mm).
- Slide the dishcloth through the lower jaw to clamp it.
- Rest or insert the sponge in the upper holder so it can drip and ventilate.
Safety & Usage Notes
- Do not expose to boiling water or high heat; some plastics can soften.
- Avoid heavy loads; this is for sponges and cloths only.
- Check for sharp edges after printing and deburr if needed.
- Small parts risk: keep out of reach of young children.
