Why settle for just one modular mounting system when you could have two?

This is a set of adapters to mount a Multiboard grid onto a Cooler Master Qube 540 case, though in theory this should work on other cases with the same mounting system. This should open up the FreeForm mounting system to many, many other accessories made for Multiboard.

Because these systems don't share the same spacing, unique mounts need to be made for both different sizes as well as whether they're going to be tiled or not. Since the mount for a 5x5 grid is the simplest one to create, I've started with that to get an idea of the scope of the larger project.

More files will be added in time as I refine my setup.

Printing

To print this adapter, orient the adapter in your slicer with the Multiboard mount facing down and the FreeForm mount facing up (this should be default). Depending on the specific mount in question, you will likely need to enable supports to compensate for the offsets between the Multiboard and FreeForm mounts in each model.  For the “5x5 single grid” variant, as long as your printer is able to bridge gaps of about 1cm you should be able to print it without supports.

Beyond that, the recommended settings are as follows:

  • 3 walls
  • 0.2mm layer height
  • 25% infill
  • Consider printing in PETG or a material that can withstand higher temperatures. PLA should be fine but depending on your computer's exhaust setup and components it may begin to soften over time.

The license for this project is the Multiboard license, not Creative Commons as mentioned below. I couldn't change that.
