We have one of the very common Busch-Jäger double lightswitches (type: 2511-21) in our bathroom for controlling the lights and the ventilation. Very often the ventilation gets turned on accidentally and runs for the whole day without being noticed.

We all know that the ONLY electronic device that is allowed to run day and night is a 3D printer, so I took the switch apart, remodeled the frame (Busch-Duro 2000® SI) and designed a cover for it. The frame gets installed the same way the original does and after clicking in the middle- and the two control elements the cover is simply pressed into the corresponding recess in the frame.

The cover has two finger holes so the switch still can be pressed and I included a version without the holes as well if you want cover one half of the switch completely.

Printing: The frame has to be printed with supports because the back has many funky features. A low layer height should be preferred for a smoother appearance of the top surface. The cover itself is printed upside down with no special requirements. You can go crazy on the colors for an eye catching look or try to make it look inconspicuous if you have the correct color (RAL 1013 - "perlweiß").

I can release the frame design without the recess for the cover as well if anyone needs or wants it (i.e. for your kids room in cool colors or glow-in-the-dark). I also can design a version for an entirely covered switch of you have very important lights/devices that should not be turned on easily. Just let me know ;)

For the sake of completeness: Tinkering around with 230V is dangerous, so don't disassemble your switches if you don't know what you are doing. I don't know if the original frames are tested with regards to conductivity but my 3D printed parts certainly are NOT so print and use at your own risk.
