Introduction This is a custom 3D printable tool designed specifically for the Harmony 370 RC Loader build created by Lukas Cajkar.
During the assembly of the loader, the instructions note that standard modeling tools are sufficient, with one exception: you are required to modify a specific tool. The build requires a 5.5 mm socket wrench with a reduced outside diameter of 7.2 mm to fit into tight spaces.
Instead of grinding down a standard metal socket wrench to meet these specifications, you can simply download and print this model. It is designed with the exact thin-wall dimensions required to complete the assembly without damaging your metal tools.
Print Instructions This model is designed to be functional and durable. Please follow these recommendations for the best results:
Material: Use a durable filament. Both PLA and PETG have been tested and work well for this application.
Orientation: It is highly recommended to print the wrench standing up, with the tool head (the socket end) facing down on the build plate.
Why this orientation? Printing with the socket head against the plate ensures the most accurate internal dimensions for the nut and maximizes the part's strength during use.
Oh - did I mention you can also attach it to your screwdriver just like any other bit? - You can!
