Adam’s (K6ARK) Mini Microphone is the gold standard for ultralight portable radio setups. This slimmed down remix reduces weight and refines some features.
Differences of the remixed enclosure compared to the original:
Improved front to back retention of the electret and reduced air leakage around the element.
Single tuned acoustic port to provide sufficient coupling while reducing phase cancelation and wind noise.
Redesigned exterior profile to reduce material and round off the enclosure for improved feel and aesthetics.
Redesigned the clips to use chamfered profiles instead of radius for improve retention.
Assembled QMX mic weight ASA-GF: 4.8 grams
Compatibility & Fit:
Internals: If you already own a K6ARK mic, the internal components swap directly into this housing without modification.
Element Sizes: Files vary by the length of the electret element.
QMX/QMX+/Pebble HF/HF Signals: Uses a shorter element. This mic fits inside the "-24dB" housing.
FX4CR / KX2/KX3/FX4CR/uSDX: Uses a longer element. This mic fits inside the "-42dB" housing.
