Who I am: I'm a nerd girl, full-time student with a degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice (but now I study cognitive processes and technologies, cyberpsychology). I don't work with 3D printing and I use my printer 90% for personalized gifts because I'm an artist and I love transforming my digital creations into reality!
The Project: A MODULAR CARD TRAIN DIORAMA
Main features
Customizable, completely removable, each piece is easily interchangeable (seasons and scenery can be updated).
It significantly reduces waste by minimizing supports and drains thanks to an interlocking card system and curved shapes.

It's tiny: look at the train! It's smaller than my finger!
Stained Glass style for translucent filaments: Play with heights to add shades if you are using transparent filament!

FILAMENTS used:
Bambulab Teal Translucent PLA, Blue Translucent PLA (for the glass)
+ Creality Hyper Black PLA and Silver like silk PLA
Tested with a K1 max and A1.
Printed at 0.2 layer and high speed, check out my project file!

IMPORTANT UPGRADES:
The magnetic train finally turns with the gears and works both with the wheel and with an automatic system (I tested the cyberbricks).
I'm so happy to see it move! It's the first time I've done anything like this! Now I want it to move better than this. Unfortunately, I had a printing error, and I'm not sure if that's the cause, but the gears are jamming in some places. This can still be improved. If I find any errors, I'll upload a new piece. I hope it was just my printing error. I'm making new inner gear parts! Stay Tuned! If you have any feedback please share it now so I can implement it in the next release :)
A motor that rotates 360 degrees continuously, controlled by a receiver board and activated by a remote control. All this is battery-powered!
The fit of the cards depends a lot on the quality of the filament and the printer, test with a couple of pieces before printing everything! This is a WIP beta, I will keep this project alive with new buildable and dismountable updates!
Personal use only.

Support the Train Project
By downloading this train set and this work-in-progress prototype set, you'll receive free updates and help me finish this very challenging project. If the makers lose interest, this project will die and I'll focus on something else! Think of it as crowdfunding or something similar, much cheaper and more direct, with zero budget!
Welcome, beta tester! I need your help :)
PREVIOUS MESSAGE:
Hi everyone, I've been working for days on creating a set of card kits to create a super tiny city with a moving train, ecofriendly, supportless with less waste.
I keep making mistakes; I'd like to refine the style I designed this winter, but instead I'm still struggling with the electronics and the interlocking parts.
I'm starting to lose motivation; I don't know if I'll finish this project. In the meantime, you can download the train.
Leave me a like or feedback to support this project; it's really challenging right now...
You'll actually get a train card kit. It has also a slot for a magnet.
Thank you for all the help
Best regards, everyone!
Happy nerdy printing!
