A Hanging Lamp with Compact Connectors that are used to connect multiple Segments to a Connecting Base that also houses a E27 lamp socket. This assembly can be snapped together, so no glue required.
This design integrates with the Compact Connector (see https://www.printables.com/model/1567386-strong-compact-connector). If needed a clamp can be used to press parts together as it is a tight (but very strong) fit. Hope this model inspires others to design multi-part models.
There are four types of components that are all printable (the number 8 is a suggestion):
1x Connecting Base.
8x Segments.
8x Pegs.
8x Cover Caps.
Notes
A Peg is recessed in the Connecting Base on one side. Each pin of a Peg has a so called beard that sticks out. The Cover Cap is used to hide them and for decoration.
The pictures show how the lamp can be customised by adding more Segments. If required all positions in the Connecting Base can be occupied.
The Gyroid infill really comes into its own when transparent filament is used.
Printing
Top Fill Pattern: Concentric.
Bottom Fill Pattern: Concentric.
Fill Density: 10%.
Fill Pattern: Gyroid.
Support: Very limited.
Filament: PETG for the Compact Connectors as it is less brittle than PLA so it can better withstand the forces when the pins of a peg are squeezed. Also, consider transparent filament just for the looks.
Assembling
The images depict how everything fits together. Please note the recess that shoud hide one side of the Peg in the Connecting Base.
