A miniature desktop model of a standing desk – very meta when you put it on a standing desk. Just intended as a cute / fun gimmick, has no moving parts / functionality except as decoration.
The model comes in two files to avoid having to print supports. The model join is semi-hidden at the natural desk leg seam, but note that this is not a spring-loaded / positionable model – the table legs slot into the table frame top using a hidden post which is intended to be fully inserted, not showing any gap.
The tolerance for the post-and-socket construction is 0.16 mm total (0.08 mm offset). This might work as a friction fit, or you may have to use a very small bit of CA glue to prevent the legs from falling out. WARNING: if you do use glue, pay attention to the leg direction – I should have made the posts single-direction only, but as the files are currently, it's possible to insert them turned around!
Footprint is 10 cm x 5 cm, not including the mock control panel which juts out a teensy bit.
Recommend printing the table top upside down (top facing the bed) on a smooth plate for best appearance, and using a small or variable layer height. No special strength or infill needed; I used rectilinear for a very consistent appearance.
