DeWalt Bit & Driver Case Holder for Multiboard — Reinforced Remix

A remix of the original Multiboard DeWalt Bit and Driver Case Holder. I really like the original, but ran into a few things in my own use that I wanted to adjust, so I made some changes for my own setup and figured I'd share in case anyone else finds them useful.

Changes

• Bolt hole sizing. The original hole was about 27 mm, which was loose around my large thread Multiboard bolts. Resized to 23.5 mm to match the bolt thread clearance. • Counterbore added. Added a 35 mm counterbore on top of a 5 mm raised boss so the standard Multiboard tightening ring has somewhere to seat — same pattern used by some other Multiboard accessories.
  

• Gussets on the arms. Added small triangular gussets on the front and back of each retention arm. The originals were thin and mine kept snapping at the base.
  

• Shortened hooks. After adding the gussets, the hook on one of mine still broke off above the gusset, so I shortened the arms from ~19.7 mm down to 16 mm tall. Still leaves a small forward lip to catch the case.

Print settings

What I used:

• Prusa Core One L

• 0.2 mm layer height

• 15% gyroid infill

• 2 walls

• PLA

Same orientation as the original — flat on the plate, no supports needed. Settings are pretty standard so it should print fine on most printers.
