This is a replacement handle for cheap mini rubber rollers.  The roller wheel on these is about 34.5mm long and a diameter of 22mm.  These come with a M4 screw that is about 46mm long that you will need for the replacement handle.

REQUIRED: You will also need a M4 X16mm and a M4 nut.

This model prints in two parts.  See images for steps for assembly. Please print as they are oriented in the file for maximum strength.

Print 0.2mm line, with 3-4x walls.  20% infill.
No brim or support needed.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. dismantle blue brayer and keep the roller, screw, and nut. (see picture #2 and #8).

  2. insert new M4 nut into BrayerB part.  It is easier to get in if you partially thread it on to the screw and use that to help get it into position.  then remove the screw and leave the nut nested in the part. (see picture #3)

  3. connect BrayerA and BrayerB parts together with M4x16 screw. (see pcture #4)

  4. thread the old existing M4x46 through the correct side of BrayerA part and add the old M4 nut to the side with the hexagon cut out.  (see picture #5)

  5. tighten this screw until it feels snug but the rubber wheel still rotates easily. the nut should be partially nested into the hexagon cutout.

The new handle is very ergonomic and can be held in two different ways (see pictures #6 and #7).  This is much more comfortable especially for those with arthritis and allows for greater force.

I use this little brayer for smoothing foil on stained glass but these are also used for diamond paintings and cricut machines.  These cheap brayers are not good for block printing though (in my experience).
