INFO

A remix of the original open frame pc case by Heblyz. The case supports the same hardware (board sizes, gpu length etc.) as the original model.

REQUIRED HARDWARE

The whole case has been modified to use M3x5(w)x3-6mm(l) threaded inserts instead of 4mm width ones. The screws are the same as in the original. The PCIE slot brackets and handles require M3x12 screws (10mm and 16mm should also work).

The PCIE slot brackets are designed for 6mm motherboard standoffs. This is easily adjustable using the step files of the PCIE brackets.

PRINTING

Same settings as the original case. I recommend PETG for the PCIE mounts because of the exhaust heat of the GPU.

DIFFERENCES

The main goal of this remix is to add a ton of potential mounting points for expainsion. The following mounting points have been added:

  • PCIE slot

I added mounting points for PCIE slot brackets in different sizes. Not all of the holes have to be used but allow you to place the slot bracket wherever you want.

The slot brackets come in sizes of 2, 4, 6 and 7 slots.

  • PSU mounting

I changed and added new PSU mounting points. The old mounting didn't work for me but that might be because I printed a mirrored version. Anyways the changes add mounting points for the top two screws as well to make it more secure. The red bracket isn't really necessary and might not work for all of the PSU brands. There are two versions of the red bracket. One is for PSUs that have the plug/switch close to the edge. The placement of the plug varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

  • Top mounting points

These mounting points can be used to add a radiator, fans, a different handle, more drives or whatever it is you need.

  • Side mounting points

These can be used to attach handles for carrying the case around, add fans, drives, a radiator...
The mounting points are the same on both sides of the case.

  • Back mounting points

Can be used to mount more drives or to mount a screen to the case for a more mobile setup.

  • Front mounting points

Mounting points on the inside of the front L bracket. Can be used to add front IO or a power button.
